72ch01 7.2 Multichannel Pre-Outs
The 7.2 multichannel pre-outs on selected Onkyo network A/V receivers allow a greater level of flexibility when it comes to customizing a home theater setup. The user could, for example, incorporate a seven-channel power amplifier and use their Onkyo A/V receiver exclusively as an advanced audio-video processor and video-switching hub. Multichannel outputs also facilitate the inclusion of compatible legacy equipment, such as stereo power amps and equalizers, to be incorporated into the surround-sound system.

112ch01 11.2 Multichannel Pre-Outs
The 11.2 multichannel pre-outs on selected Onkyo network A/V receivers provide users with a greater level of flexibility, allowing the surround sound setup to be customized. With the addition of an outboard stereo amp, an 11.2-channel system can be created, complete with back surround, front high, and front wide speakers augmenting the standard 5.2-channels. Alternatively, the user may add a separate nine-channel power amp, leaving the receiver to handle preprocessing. These outputs also allow for the inclusion of compatible legacy stereo equipment.

1080p Video Upscaling
Selected Onkyo A/V products feature upscaling technology performed by a powerful video processor. The technology allows compatible source video of a lower resolution—say, from standard DVD or an online source, for example—to be de-interlaced and converted to Full HD, or 1080 lines of vertical display resolution. Selected Onkyo network receivers and Blu-ray players use high-quality processors from Marvell and HQV®, which use complex algorithms to clean “block noise” and “mosquito noise” from video in real time. The resultant picture on your HDTV is extremely smooth, clear, and detailed.

19224bit01 192 kHz/24-Bit Audio DACs
192 kHz/24-bit DACs enable the best possible reproduction of standard and high-definition audio formats.

19232bit01 192 kHz/32-Bit Audio DACs
High-end 192 kHz/32-bit DACs enable the best possible reproduction of standard and high-definition audio formats.

All Onkyo A/V receivers are capable of carrying high-resolution 3D video formats from source devices to your 3D-capable display via HDMI.

4 Game Modes

Four gaming modes are included on Onkyo A/V receivers to help create an audio experience with more realism and impact. You can select from Rock, Sports, Action, or Role Playing Game (RPG) modes to match your gaming content.

4k01 4K Video Upscaling
Selected Onkyo receivers offer 4K (4096 x 2160) upscaling of standard video sources such as 480i/p, 720p, and 1080i/p. Interlaced-to-progressive conversion and scaling are performed by Qdeo video processing technology from Marvell. Qdeo uses algorithms to erase video noise and artifacts such as jaggies and feathering. Played back on a compatible wide-screen display, your content will look more detailed and cinematic than ever.

4k02 4K Video Passthrough
Selected Onkyo network receivers are able to pass native or upscaled 4K Ultra HD video content from media player through to a compatible 4K TV display or video projector via HDMI.

6disc01 6-Disc Carousel Design
Six bays translates to six discs at a time. Even while one disc is playing, you can load and remove the other discs without interrupting playback. The format of each loaded disc is conveniently displayed as an icon on the front display. The ultra-quiet, efficient loading mechanism makes changing discs a simple exercise.
